Is there any way to combine several mp3's into one song?
Heres the thing, there is a song by the mars volta called "Cassandra Gemini" that is about 35 minutes long, but it is on 6 different tracks, which is fine when you are listening to the album, but to put them on mp3 and on the computer, the brief stutters in between tracks doesn't make it seem like one song. So if anyone knows how i would put all 6 tracks into one file and as one song, that would be great.

You can do this easily if you use iTunes to rip...

Handy Concept for Concept Rock
Many music CDs contain songs that blend into each other, and importing them to iTunes may create a small gap between songs that interrupts the flow. If you use the iTunes Join Tracks feature, the program melds two or more songs into one, continuous gap-free track. So now you can enjoy listening to classical music, concept rock albums and extended dance mixes without the silent treatment.

You can do it in DOS???
http://www.llbest.com/ConcatenatingMP3Files.htm
Apparently "MPEG Audio Scissors 1.4" was a shareware to concatenate the files as well. But the thread I found it mentioned in linked to a place it no longer lives (coincidentally enough, the thread mentions NOT to use the DOS method I linked to above
):

I think the .zip file is still available at the bottom of this page. Can't check it out myself at work, though:

There are probably other, easier ways, but I use Goldwave to combine MP3s. There's a "crossfade" option and I simply attach the secondary song file(s) to the end and then save the new file.

Please don't tell me that you need to do this as an AAC/lossless first to get that option to be turned on.

To use this function of iTunes, put the CD in, select the tracks you want to join, then use the Join Tracks function. You do this *before* you rip the CD. The joined tracks will then be ripped into one file.

You can just straight concatenate MP3's iff:
-They're all the same bitrate.
-You remove all the ID3/APE tags from them first.
If the bitrate varies, then you need to use a program on the finished file to generate a VBR header, like VBRFix.
If they have tags, you can use something like TidyMP3 to remove those tags before or after you concatenate the files.

also, are there any programs where you can combine movies into one file. sometimes when downloading on rapidshare, a 10 min movie can be spread out into 5 files which becomes anoying sometimes.
