Can you extract a DVD audio track to CD?

I'm not sure if this is asking about something illegal, so if it is, I'm sorry and please close the thread.

My wife has a DVD that has some white noise type stuff that can be played to calm a baby and help them sleep. I own the DVD, but I'd like to put the audio on a CD. I can do it analog to my home component CD burner, but is there a way to do it digitally on a computer?

Yes, you can do that, but I'm pretty sure that's not talk-aboutable here.
