Existing headset to USB?

I love my xbox communicator headset... it just fits right. In fact, I use it plugged in to my cell phone in the office for all my business calls.

So now that I want to get in to PC gaming and online voice communication, I'd like to be able to use this as my headset/mic. But after googling for HOURS, I can't seem to find a suitable adapter. The only ones I've come across are upwards of $90, and I can buy a new headset for far less than that... which I'm trying to avoid, because I've tried a lot of headsets that I can't stand. It seems like there should be a cheap ~$20 headset adapter of some kind for those of us with cell headsets etc that we'd like to plug in to the computer.

Any help?
