Motherboard RJ45 port, or PCI NIC card?

Anyone experimented with connecting their DSL using these two connections. I assume on-board LAN and PCI network adapter would be similar, if not the same since they both use 10/100 RJ45. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue.

The mobo port should work fine. Unless you are on a large network and your computer has a major role in that network, there is no reason to buy an PCI NIC. (Well, if the mobo NIC is 10mbit, it'd be worth it to upgrade to 100mbit. But the chances of that are very small...)
