Using Dynamat with HDTV

I just got HDTV installed on my brand new Dell 2405fpw monitor. It looks great except for a few lines in the picture on some of the HD channels. The cable guy said to get a sheet of Dynamat to put behind the monitor to eliminate the digital "noise" aka the lines on the screen.

My question is, I've done a lot of searching on dynamat and they seem to be used mainly for sound systems, so will using it to improve my HD picture work? I wish I knew more about this when the cable guy was here so I could find out for sure. Also, does anyone know any good places (perhaps some sponsers) to get the Dynamat? Thanks.

Dynamat wont help your picture in the least. 1st try upgrading the cable connecting the cable box to your display. You also may have some problems because you're using a monitor as an HDTV.
