Capturing Video onto my PC

I have recently bought Dazzle kit which appears to capture my video fine on to my PC. However, when I edit the video through Pinncale Software and then burn it on to DVD it is extrmeley slow (rendering) and then the DVD quality is awful. I believe that the dazzle kit may not be good for the quality of picture. Is there anything that will capture and render the the video before it goes on to my computer (through USB) and I can then edit in Nero - Is Nero the best?? A little vague but hopefully someone who knows what they are doing will be able to help!!

Get rid of the Dazzle kit, buy the ADS USB Instant DVD 2.0.

On-the-fly MPEG2 capture, up to 10 MBps, splendid results, it uses the same chip as set-top recorders, always synchronized A/V...

It also comes with an excellent software suite, which is all you'll need.
