please help me get rid of "webrebates"
so i have this program (trojan?) that keeps popping up with "web rebates" while i'm surfing...
i've tried to delete the program, but it says "prog being used" -- i then went to windows task manager (XP) and tried to end the process called "webrebates0.exe" and webrebates1.exe", but every time i end the process, it simply comes back!
so i can't delete the actual program (or file) cause the damn program is constantly running and it won't allow it, and i can't end the process cause the damn thing keeps coming back.
can anyone help?
i've tried ad-aware 6.0, it doesn't take care of this problem.
please help!

Thanks for the reply
Usually, during the install it will give you the option to not install the "additional" software. Most people will keep clicking "next" to installl a program! Take a little extra time to read the boxes will help prevent any additonal software from being installed on supposed "freeware" programs
