Firefox's update feature does not work very well, you can go to Tools -> Extensions, right click on any disabled extension, choose "Visit Home Page", and check if the extension has update for 1.0

Any way to save tabs? What I'd like to do, is have a set list of tabs open everytime I open mozilla. I go to a few sites (DVDTALK being one of them) all the time and creating tabs seems like a waste of time. Thanks

If you don't want to wait for the extensions to be updated you an do it yourself.
1) In each extension's folder, look for a file called install.rdf
2) Change the "max version" line in there from 0.10 to 1.0
and /. has a story with tons of links if you can't get on mozilla.org

If the main site is slow, then try TechTV's Kevin Rose's site. He has put up a mirror download.

Was finally to download it. So far it's been running just as fine as the PR versions, but my gripe is that every time they do a new build, most of the themes and plug-ins become obsolete (i.e., incompatible!). They need to figure a way around that.

Lucky for me only one extension is incompatible and it's 'non-essential.' Seems like it might run a bit faster and hopefully some bugs are squashed (would be sweet to have no more javascript crashes on a few pages).

Okay.. every time I try to switch to Fire Fox I just get frustrated that their famed tab support is so clunky and non-functional compared to Maxthon.
Now, I see there is an extension to allow double clicking to close a tab, but I don't recall seeing it when I went to their site today.. why isn't this a standard feature? Middle click works, but clicking the mouse wheel just seems odd.
Are there extensions to control the tabs visual size, or to allow manual rearranging of tabs by dragging and dropping, or to allow new tabs to be opened next to the current tab as opposed to the end of the line?
Another important one is quick tab scrolling.. Maxthon does this via F2/F3, but Fire Fox has two combinations, but requiring double key presses.. I'd like to be able to scroll through tabs with single keys.
I'd love to switch, but my rapid-fire power browsing is hindered!

I always uninstall the older build before I put in the new one just to avoid any problems. Your bookmarks and settings are kept in a separate folder, so you don't lose anything. It's just that certain themes and plug-ins might not work, which is why they're turned off by default when you start up the new version.

I installed 1.0PR on 0.9.3, lots of problems. Finally I removed everything and installed a fresh copy of 1.0PR. btw, I have bookmarkftp extension so I don't really care about losing my bookmarks.
On another system, I upgraded (from Tools->Options) 1.0PR to 1.0, it works well (of course I have 1 extension not compatible with 1.0).
