Allowing Ads with Firefox, Norton, and Lavasoft...

Hey, y'all, I'm having some problems here, and I'm kind of tech-challenged.

If this has been covered please link me to the information.

I just started using Firefox recently, and I am also running Norton 2004, Lavasoft Ad Aware SE, and I check spy-ware with SpyBot.

My problem is I can get all three of them sync'ed up enough to allow me to post new threads/edit threads/etc without turning off my Norton Firewall completely. I'd appreciate any info, and again, if this has been covered I apologize. I tried to search, but I didn't have any luck. Thanks again.

Maybe it's just me but your post is a bit confusing. Can you rephrase what your problem is?

I think Norton Internet Security, when set to block ads has a default set of filters that will catch the button graphics used on this site.

I believe there should be a setting in NIS that allows you to selectively turn off the adblocking on certain sites. Just make sure you add ads.kleinman.com to that list.

The other software probably doesn't have anything to do with your problem. Firefox can block ads with a plug-in, but you have to enable that separately.

Thanks, y'all, for your help. SOrry if the post was a bit confusing. I ended up turning off ad blocking completely with NIS b/c I couldn't figure out how to allow just the ads from DVD Talk on there. I'm gonna keep fiddling with it, but I appreciate y'alls responses. Thanks again.

I had this problem as well with Norton's so here's what I did:
In Norton IS click on ad blocking -> configure
go to advanced settings
clok on add site then add dvdtalk
find your site on the list click add
type in ads.kleinman.com and set it to permit
click OK, turn your ad blocking back on, and you should be set
