Using a Wacom Tablet?

I've been doing a lot of work in Photoshop and After Effects lately (hobby not job). I'm thinking about picking up a Wacom tablet for, hopefully, making selections and masks easier. Wacom released the Intuos3 yesterday, and it looks pretty sweet. Perhaps it is too much tablet for me, though (price and features). Does anyone here use a tablet regularly? I am leaning toward a 6x8 Intous 2 or 3. However, if the Graphire3 is as good for my needs, that would be great. I just want to get the "right" tablet. Any advice? Thanks.

I though I would use my Wacom tablet much more than I do. That said, I have the Intuos 2 (6x8 I think), and it does everything I want it to well. It did come with a wireless mouse which I never really understood the use, as you must use the tablet as the "mouse pad."

I have a Graphire2 and it works fine for me - the drawing area is only 4x6 but it's enough for regular Windows navigation and image editing. Using the mouse with a 4x6 area is a bit annoying though, as the cursor won't move if the mouse is off the drawing area.. but then I never use the mouse.
