Boot sequence...

My E drive is not reading discs anymore so I can't seem to load my Windows XP disc (before windows starts up) so I can delete the existing partition and create a new one. Is there a way to get my computer to load from my F drive? I tried the normal way of changing the boot sequence but that didn't work... currently it says it boots F, A, SCSI. However, it doesn't load the F first. Any ideas?

Can you identify what is on each drive? (Hard Drive, CD-Rom, DVD etc..)

and whether with component is master and secondary?

You may want to try a Windows 98 Startup disc (with cdrom support) and see if it will reconize the drive.

P.S.Have you given up on your other problem??

I guess so... That program is just so deeply rooted that nothing's been able to even affect it. It wasn't that long ago that I cleared everything and started over and doing it again seems like the easier solution, permitted my computer allows it...

Prior to repartioningand formatting your drive, try a System Restore. Select a date fron the calendar Prior to the original problem occuring.

It is located in you accessories>System Tools Folder
