Accidentally messed up registry....stuck in 16-color mode...HELP!

While removing some spyware in safe mode, somehow I got stuck in 16-color mode. When I rebooted back to normal it is stuck in 16-color mode and it gives me an error about a ODBC file being different. The only thing I can think of is that I did something to the registry somehow. I've been trying to find info on how to fix this for the last 2 hours but I can't seem to find anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

It sounds like your video card driver might be corrupt or at least in a state that Windows can't correctly detect that it's installed. I would recommend that you set the video card driver to VGA, uninstall the driver and reinstall the latest driver for your video card.

ODBC should be completely unrelated to this.

Try directly accessing the display settings (Control Panel/Display) and changing them to something appropriate. If that doesn't work, well, hope you have install disks handy.
