Hundreds of Pop-Ups on Startup! Virus?

Hello Everyone!

When I booted up the computer this morning, it started to go extremely slow, and then started bombarding me with pop-ups.

I have Windows XP and have run Norton Antivirus 2003 severla times, as well as AdAware (which has pulled out more thne 700 spyware files in the lasty two hours alone), but it always says that there were a few it couldn't delete.

I know I have read about this before on some other board, but can't remember the fix, if any.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

either that or you're running AIM, my wife uses that, and it looks like a warez/porn site when she boots up, with all the popups.
Anyway, definitely do what Ranger suggested, and make sure you update each of them. Check your version of Spybot, i believe it had an 'older' version which is no longer supported with updates.
