How can I tell the CPU size and amount of ram on a computer?

It's my mom's computer, running Windows 98. I'm just trying to figure out how fast her processor is, and how much RAM she has.

Normally I would just see what it says when it first starts up, but she got her computer through Compaq and it just shows the Compaq screen at the beginning, it doesn't show it scanning the memory, etc.

The reason I'm asking is that she is having difficulty loading up some software that came with her recent camera purchase (Canon A75), I was waning to check her computer's stats to make sure that it meets the minimum requirements.

Thanks!

dxdiag is the best answer, but the system properties will also give memory, but it might only show the family of the cpu and not the speed. for me it just says pentium 3
