Does anybody else have incredibly bad luck with re-writables???

I think I am cursed when it comes to rewritables, I have had I guess 3 computers with cdrw's, and none of them worked right.

The one I have now, just will not work with a cdrw. Is there something I am doing to them, or these things just junk to begin with?

I bought a spindle of Memorex cdrws without first buying a couple singles to test. I've never had a problem with memorex cdrs so I figured I'd be fine. I can burn a blank one fine, after that my burner won't recognize the disc at all, just keeps spinning up and down, so I can't even erase it. but my dvdrom drive will read the data I wrote fine
