Anyone out there using Vonage?

What are your thoughts?

I do have a question about it. Do you need a box for each phone?
If you are using Tivo (it must dial out) will this still work?

I think I may change to this if this will work with my current setup.

Thanks

I have had it for almost a year and it saves us so much money.

You only need one box. What I did was disconnect the line coming into the box on the outside of my house. Then I plugged the cable from the box into the outlet in my computer room with a duplex adapter and all my phones in the house work.

The only thing I have not got to work is my alarm. I am thinking about getting a metered line from the phone company just for the alarm ($6.00 / month plus per minute usage fee).

Be aware that if you upload a lot of stuff you will have problems. Sometimes I will upload files to work and I have to check and make sure no one is on the phone cause they will let me know quick.

I picked up a Linksys WRT54G router and am using the firmware from this site and have set many ports for the apps that I upload with to low priority and that really helps from having problems with upload speed.

I just had another thought... go to http://www.vonage-forum.com and see if your questions are answered there.
