http://software.mcafee.com/lcas/

something about a classaction lawsuit
just checked my old covered in dust mcafee box. it's version 4 so now I'm waiting for them to email me the link to download from
I have been using version 5 that I got the last time I reformatted and reinstalled everything. Version 4 thought it was a new purchase and gave me another 90 days of program upgrades and I was able to get version 5 that way. Saw this while going to get a dat file update today. They try to get you to buy a new version when you click for version 5 but you can still get the dat update

I am sure I bought it although I was unable to find my old box.

I submitted it anyway figuring they could always not allow me to get the free download.

I got the email with the link within 10 minutes. I found the registration card in the box and highly doubt I ever registered electronically.
I think the form is more to keep your link from being used more than once

I figure many people probably missed this and this offer ends 7/16.

good idea on bumping it
I ended up going back to version 5
didn't like how 8 updated itself, manually downloading the dat files is actually preferable for me
