Can I set the size the IE spawns at?

My IE window spawns in a very unconvient size (like an envelope). As a result, I'm always having to maximize the window to use it. Can I set the size myself, or at least make it useable?

Close all instances of Internet Explorer
Start the Registry Editor (start button: run: type 'regedit' : ok)
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main
Delete the value Window_Placement
Exit the Registry Editor

This has always worked for me:

Open 1 IE window
resize it to the size you want
Hold the shift key and close the window using the [x]

Now when you open the window it should be at that size

Yeah, holding the shift forces into memory. If you don't, then sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

i believe this only works if you manually resize the window before closing it

i dont think you can maximize and then do it
