New Dell laptop freezes

New Dell laptop freezes

I bought a Inspiron 600m last month, and it hasn't worked right since I took it out of the box. I've called support 3 times because it freezes up all the time. They sent new RAM, had me reformat it with restoration discs, moved the RAM to the other slot, and removed everything from the startup using MSCONFIG. It's better since I did the latter fix, but it still freezes up here and there. Any experts out there have any ideas on what else I can try?

If it is within 30 days call them and return it. You don't need a reason.

If it is outside the 30 days, then you might have to play their game a little. But after 2 or 3 times is not solved, continue to ask for a supervisor and get the unit returned.

I sent it back to them for repair. The documentation says the system bios was updated and there is an "x" by system board. Does this mean they replaced it?

that just means they removed it
you didnt really need that anyways
