Virus Help! VBS.Redlof.A Cant remove!

Hello. I have Norton Antivirus running and updated (live update) and I keep getting messages that I have VBS.Redlof.A and that it denies access to being deleted. I run a full system scan w/ Norton and it doesn't pick up anything? I just get the popup everyonce in a awhile (a norton popup)

I think its adding popup software cause I have ALOT more and adaware and spybot find something if i run them every couple mins! and on webpages certain words are underlined as well
HELP! How can I delete it? Thanks!

Check the Norton site for removal tools. Alternatively, Google is your friend:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com....redlof.a.html

I've looked at those first two already and the registry keys they say to delete are not in my registry

Did you follow the other instructions from the first two sites (exluding the parts regarding the registry)? What about the third? Did you check Norton/Symantec for a specific removal tool? Have you updated your virus definitions lately?

Yes, everything is updated on the norton end and whatnot, but no to the tird site because when I download that program they tell you you need to put a "pattern file" into the folder but don't tell you where/how to get the patern file.
thanks for your help

do you have any of the same symptoms I described in this thread: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=363905

I have spyware that I can't get rid of and I also had the same notification from Norton that VBS.Redlof.A was detected on my system.

I wonder if they're at all related.

if you have ME or XP, it is very important to turn system restore off. and then doing the scans.

is that for anti-virus scans, spyware scans, or both?

I have XP.
