Windows is really SLOOOOOOOW

Okay, here is what I did first.

1) Partitioned my drive past the 1024 cylindar boundary.

2) I ran Norton Windoctor
3) I uninstalled the Alternative User Input Text because I didn't need that on my machine.

I also created a restore point before doing the software stuff.

Now, Windows is incredibly sloooooow. Clicking on 'My Computer' takes about 5 minutes of the 'flashlight' to find. Opening any files takes forever. Internet explorer will not work for at least 3 minutes. Netscape works fine, and is fast. Other partitions on my HD work as well. Files on the C:\ drive itself work fine too, as well as many 'Program Files' (although I haven't tested them all. Winamp works fine, no change in sound or anything (and this is on my C:\ drive) It seems that the OS itself is screwy, which was something that worried me about the resizing of the partition.

Trying to go back to any system save points gets me an error saying it failed.

Do you think WinDoctor screwed yp something in my registry causing files to open so slowly? Did the new partition size compromise XP? Do I need to reformat and reinstall?

Help oh savy users!!!!
