Cell Phone in water

I was at a restaurant last night, and somehow my cell phone fell into a full glass of water. Now, my phone doesn't work...any ideas how to get it to work?

The first thing to do would be to remove the battery and let it sit out for a few days to dry inside. Barring that, call your insurance company.

I had a similar problem with my cell phone a while ago. I left it in my backpack which was soaked with rainwater. Then I tried it but it wouldn't work. I thought it was broken. But then I removed the battery and let the parts dry overnight. After it's dried, I put the battery back and it worked again.
