Buy Or Download Software?

I've been thinking of getting Macromedia Contribute 2.0 and I have an option of either getting it from a store or just getting it downoladed on my computer from the Macromedia site. My question is if I lose my (downloaded) file for it how do I get it it back into my system?

This thread isn't what I expected.

But I always will download if I have my druthers. Just make sure you backup the file to CD.

In addition to the install file you download - you get a product key which is your license for that product. Just like if you buy it in a store on CD... Most sites will let you download again if you lose the software as long as you have the key.

It's more convenient if you just download. On the other hand, you won't be able to sell the downloaded software if you decided you don't want to use it anymore.

I downloaded my last 2 antivirus programs from their respective sites. It's so much more convenient.
