After converting from OS me to win2000, I get random skipping on all dvd movies I play. Is there a method of increasing a buffer or a ms patch to fix this?

Please advise

I'm guessing it's a memory problem. How much do you have?

In know its a memeory issue, but nothing else has an issue and it was fine on ME at 128 megs. I now have 256 and running windows 2K. It all started after changing OS. There must be a buffer somewhere to use. Like adjusting virtual memory.

Go into your Device Manager and make sure DMA is enabled and working after booting for your IDE controllers.
