Is there a way to transfer files via a wireless network?

I have a wireless internet network setup and would like to easily transfer files from one computer to another. Is there a way to do it without emailin, using P2P software or copying to a disc?

Why would it be any different wireless than it would wired? Set up a share on either box. Copy the files to the shared directory/drive.

How you do this depends on what OS you are running.

Generally for windows boxes, make sure that you can ping each other.

Set both computers to same workgroup

Enable file sharing on one ore both computers

Share a folder(s)

Copy files normally

It sounds like he doesn't know how to set up shares. If that is the case, check out this guide if you are running XP. If you are running some other version of Windows, look around that site for other guides.

Yeah, I'm computer illiterate and didn't know about shares. I'll see if I can get this set up. One is running Win2K and the other XP.
