disable System Restore

I use an external USB hard drive for backup and everytime I backup several hundred megs worth of stuff to it, System Restore writes a few hundred more megs worth of backup backup which is annoying - if I disable it, it's enabled the next time I plug in the drive.. is there any way to permanently disable it?

That'll work, but I still want it enabled for my C and D drives, just disabled for the backup HD.

you should be able to select "turn off system restore for this drive" after you select the drive you want it off on and select settings.
