"LEGAL AGREEMENT: BY CLICKING ON THE SUBMIT MY ORDER BUTTON, you agree (1) to the Terms & Conditions (which include your consent to e-mail communications) and (2) that your purchase is subject to the terms that will be provided with your membership, including license terms and warranty, damage and remedy."

What is the membership thing? Do you join something they expect money for later?

And this, "which include your consent to e-mail communications" does that mean more spam email?

LOL, the email communications thing stopped me. I don't want to take any unnecessary spam chances, even with my free email accounts.

Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a way to have all those updates for a while.

They should be spitting out a Win XP SP2 CD soon, the new Serive Pack may be released as soon as July. That one probably won't be free though or at least the SP1 CD wasn't, costs me $10

Thanks for the link. I just ordered a copy of the CD. It will come in handy when I have to reinstall my XP. I already had to reinstall XP twice about a month ago. It was a pain to have to download the security patches from windowsupdate.microsoft.com web site especially since my modem can only connect at 28.8kbps.

I thought my connection used to be slow when it connected at 44K. Those update have got to take you a loooooong time to download.

Now I remember why I switched to broadband!

Received my Update CD toady and it was cracked/broken. The trial cd looked okay though. Put in another order for it. So far it looks like it is alot faster just to download the updates......

Got mine today also. Didn't open it yet, but it will be easier to setup machines with this one. Says it's updated through 02/04, so it should have most of the updates on it.

Probably because I missed a step or something. I forgot about this thread and then it came back so I ordered it again, and they did send me the confirmation email. And now I wait.

This is what it now says when you go to this page:

The Windows Security Update CD is no longer available

We're sorry, but the Windows Security Update CD is no longer available for ordering. Please visit our Protect Your PC page for more information about improving your computer's security.
Well, that's a bummer. I was going to see if there was a new one. I used the old one when I serviced pc's without broadband capability.

That is a good CD to have!

The XP SP2 CD is still available free of charge.

I think Microsoft has officially ceased support for the 98 and ME versions. Could be why it is not available anymore
