why is there a blue tint when i play videos in winzip?

once i downloaded a certain 37 min video on the forums, i noticed that all of the fleshtones were in a blue/purple tint, and was wondering how to get it to have a normal color.

When people talk about having to "unzip" before watching the video, they meant something else.

So the video went from a greenish nightvision tint to a bluish tint eh?

The blue/purple tint was the Director's intent. Which reminds me, I need to put the divx codec on my PC when I get home. I too have a 37 minute video I need to watch. Odd coincidence.

the one I got is probaly more than 5fps in reality, but it seems like it's that slow. resolution is clear though

Download avicodec from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/m...4.exe?download

Once installed, point it to the file and open. It will tell you which codecs are required to watch the media.

I've tried WinAmp, but found that even with the correct codec installed, DivX played the files successfully, whereas WinAmp was horrid...

Gonna give WinRAR a go to one of these day

I have two 37minute movies. One is 400+ Megs in Divx with a low FPS, and another is 40MB WMV file, with a better framerate. Everyone should check out the 40MB version.
