"wrong database information was used" how to fix?

hi. i'm trying to install a php news script, but have no experience. i uploaded all the files, but i dunno what my "database info" is. now, when i goto

http://www.johnkester.com/news/install.php

i get

"The site database appears to be down or the wrong database information was used."

how do i fix this/ tell it the right database?

There must be a config file that has the database server/ selected database/username & password info in it. You need to get that from your webhost, if you don't already have it.
