RAM Question

I just had a friend build me a PC with this Motherboard in it:
Asus nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU

In the specs (and in looking at it) it has 3 slots for RAM. Currently 2 are used with Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3200 with Platinum-Silver Heat Spreader. My question is, can I add one to the third slot that is open? If so, are there any requirements I need to know about?

I'm going to assume you're referring to the Asus A7N8X-X since you mentioned the nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset.

Anyway, adding memory should be outlined in your owner's manual and if you don't have it, you might want to ask your friend for it—otherwise, you can download it in digital form from Asus's web site.

Anyway, you should be able to add a third module without any problem and if you're concerned, why not just add another module similar to what you have now?

Good luck.

Thanks toq. I checked with the guy that built it and he said just what you did.
