How do I make iMovie files Windows compatible and vice-versa?

Hi, everyone, does anyone know how one makes iMovie files Windows compatible and vice-versa? What should I covert those iMovie files to: WAVs? What else is there? (Bare with me, been in Iraq a year) Also, should I just download Ultraplayer on my Powerbook to play a windows media file? Thanks!

1. Most Windows users have/use Quicktime. Just convert your movie into Quicktime and you'll be good to go. You could also convert it to DiVX, but I've had some problems with that (no audio coming through).

2. I just use Windows Media Player on my Mac to play Windows Media files. Works fine. Quicktime for mostly everything, Windows Media Player for Windows Media files, and RealPlayer for Real Player files.
