Is it possible to open Appleworks files in Windows?

I have Word XP, Openoffice, and WordPerfect, and none of them seem to be able to open an Appleworks file.

Is there a filter or plug-in that I can download to open it? Thanks.

How old of an Appleworks file? Depending on the version of Appleworks (it has been around for probably 15-20 years), it could just be a plain text file. Try just forcing it to open in Notepad or something similar.

I just ended up asking the person to export the file to Word. It worked okay.

Thanks anyways.
