Free programs that disconnect net when call comes in?

We have an old dial-up service connected to the regular phone. Needless to say, we worry about missing important phone calls.

Does a utility exist that allows a phone call to come through (consequently disconnecting the net, of course)? We don't want to spend the extra scratch for high-speed or whatever.

I don't have this, but I believe it requires a modem that supports it (V92 compatible). If so, I should think the modem software disk would have all you need. As mentioned above, you must have call waiting on the phone line. I don't know if it requires special support from ISP as well. Google on V92 modem to learn more.
