Freezing Desktop Icons?

From time-to-time, I change my screen resolution from a highter one (1024x768) down to 800x600 to see how a web page I'm working one would look.

After switching back to my normal resolution, I find my desktop icons re-arranged. Is there a way to prevent this?

I don't think so. You should probably be using a separate utility, like Resize Browser or WindowSizer, to accomplish what you're doing anyways.

Good luck.

However, now whenever I open a thread in a new window, it is opened smaller than I want it. This usually means I've opened IE in that small size and closed it, but when I access IE every way and can and make sure its maximized, the results are the same.
