Athlon PC in new Apple G5 case

I've seen several people putting wintel systems in Apple G3-G4 cases they've bought off ebay, with decent results, but you have to wonder at the mentality of someone who trashes a $3000 computer (a Christmas present, no less) to install a mid level Atlon mobo with integrated video.

I'd say too much money to waste?

Server overload. What is it w/ people? They flame Macs like it's the devil but are interested when some crazies switch G5 guts w/ AMD parts.

Just because I don't like the Macintosh operating system doesn't mean they don't have sweet looking cases

Of course, I don't have the cash to get a G5 case, and I'm quite happy with mine

I've always thought the G5s looked like a...

(... and this is coming a MacUser who's happy with his G4... but ticked that someone would rape a G5 like that.)

The idiot took out all the parts in the G5 case and gave it to his friend. I'm surprised his parents haven't already committed homicide on this highly ungratefuly and mentally ill son of theirs.

What an idiot. Or as my wife said, "Spoiled brat!" How much is a G5? $2000+?

Why in the world would his parents spend all that money on an Apple when he wanted a Dell? Did he just say, "I want a computer for Christmas"?

It was a dual processor machine, so it was either $2499 (dual 1.8Ghz) or $2999 (dual 2Ghz).

Sure you guys don't believe it's hoax. It's too obvious he made up the hoax part to get his ass off the chopping block, not to mention the huge amounts of hate mails w/ viruses attachment he receives everyday.
