Why can't I past pictures into an Excel file

Why can't I past pictures into an Excel file

I was making some workers personel record and had some pictures on jpg files of this workers and wanted to add them inside the worksheet.But I tried many times using the Insert-Picture-From File and still it does not appear.
Using Windows XP and Office XP.

I think you can do it if you convert them to .bmp files.

I tried inserting .gif and .jpg files pics and it worked fine. Maybe you have a corrupt version?

Corrupt version of Excel or the picture?The picture I can see very well on every other program even on Word program.Just cannot paste it into Excel only.And the worksheet is not locked also

Have you tried just going to "Insert">"Pictures">"From File" and seeing if that works to insert the photo. It's rare but sometimes i've had problems with "Copy & Paste" a few times.

You might also want to try inserting it as an Object. I've had some issues with Excel & Cut and Paste.

Tried them all.Only 1 file is giving me thisw problem.The new one's that I am making does not give me this problem.I tried inserting as Object also.Cannot view the picture.

Found out the problem.The files that I received had a problem.I had to Open the Tools ,Options ,View under Objects had to select show all and all the pictures can now been seen!
