Maximum number of physical Hard Drives installed on one computer...?

Right now I have two HDs.

Since I recently discovered the joys of Direct Connect, i'd like to add a third to make that one exclusive for DC content. Is that possible and what do I need to do/how do I go about doing it..?

Thanks.

If you don't have any more IDE channels on your motherboard, you will need a PCI IDE card or RAID card. Shop around on newegg, prices start at around $17 and can go up to several hundred depending on speed and # of channels.

I can have 8 ide devices just on my motherboard

I have 3 hds + 1 dvd-r connected to my mobo then 2 more hds connected to an expansion card.
I'd get more but I wouldn't have enough room in the case for ventilation.

Interesting place for the floppy drive, don't you think?

I had to take a second to realize it wasn't on the front...because all the HD's took up the internal bays. Look at the bottom...cute.

Resist the urge to share your complete drive on DC (DC++ is better anyways). A lot of hubs will ban you if you share the temp directory where incomplete files are kept...
