Uploading to a website

So, my brother has a website through yahoo. I have a file he needs and need to upload the file to the website for him to get it. How do I do this? I am completely confused. Do I go through yahoo? Do I have to use an ftp?

Usually you use FTP to get the files up there. If the site uses Frontpage extension FTP'ing may not be good eniugh...you also need to publish the pages.

Smart FTP is a nice, free FTP program.

There might a web interface to upload files through yahoo to the site. If it's just 1 file, it'd probably be easiest to just find that on the website and upload that way.
