Hard Drive - SMART Disable or Enabled??

Enabling basically does logging?? right? does it tie up the HD or is there no noticable delay/lag?

Enable. And no, it doesn't hog up anything.

Nothing like a little google and webopedia to find out what S.M.A.R.T. means.

thanks fuzzy.. i did the google first... i understand what SMART does (kinda), but what I couldn't find if it is really worth it since it defaults to staying off and how much resources it actually uses
