Sorry guys. Let me break it down a little shorter. Here is the specs. By the way, HP just put this desktop on the shelf only at Wal- Mart. Here's the basic's. Its got all the original programs loaded in it as well (aol,explorer,etc...). On the graphics, does this mean I have to get a video card that is PCI only. Can I get one with more than 64mb???

80 gig hard drive
512 DDR DIMM (Max Ram 1 gig )

1.44 mb Floppy Drive
Asus Motherboard P4G533
15 inch LCD thin monitor
High Speed V.92 56k modem
Windows XP o/s

Integrated Intel Extreme graphics with up to 64 mb main system memory allocated for video memory.

No.

I suggest you look at what dell has going right now. My guess is they'll have something much better for around the same price.

EDIT: Yeah i was right. Dell Dimension 4600 gives me about the same price as the bundle you mentioned above, but kicks its ass by leaps and bounds as far as hardware is concerned.

This type of machine is available from Dell pretty regularly for around $300-$400 (absolute max) without the LCD. A 15" LCD might be about $150-200.

The video is integrated on the motherboard. I doubt you can change the memory of it.

And the H-P's 5400 RPM hard drive sucks.

You're doing better in EVERY CATEGORY with the dell, and its only about 60-70 bucks more. (which you were willing to spend on just a video card upgrade anyway)

It's an HP, that probably makes it not worth it. (unless they were almost giving it away)

Thanks for the info guys. I would rather get some info about this from other people first. Im not really confortable when it comes to computers. As far as what to buy. So most of you are leaning towards the Dell. Im going to check the web site out.

I don't believe this is a deal. I'm sure dell can do much better than this, and you'll be able to buy a system with an AGP slot.
