Base Station - Cable Internet Connection HELP

Hello.I am running Windows ME and I was away for the weekend and my mom was on my computer and swears she didnt mess w/ anything- BUT now I can't get the internet. I have digital charter internet and use a wireless basestation/router thing and for some reason the main computer has no internet (Mine-where the internet comes in the modem and the base station/router is) but the one upstairs does (the one with just the little wireless thingy) I've unplugged and replugged all the wires- upstairs works fine- but mine won't recognize it....and I don't know what to check or change on my pc- HELP!
Thanks! any other help/suggestions would be great!
