graphics card for dell dimension 2400?

graphics card for dell dimension 2400?

i just bought a dell dimension 2400 2.53mhz p4 512mb 80 gig and this computer has no agp slot only 3 available pci slots. does anybody have any suggestions for which would be the best graphics card upgrade for this system? and any tips on how to disable the internal graphics that comes included with this system once i install the new graphics card? any help is much appreciated.. thanks

My wife has this computer. There is no way to turn off the onboard AGP. You are SOL baby!

u can install a PCI video card.

Follow the link I provided. You install the PCI video card FIRST, then you have to go into the bios and disable the onboard video of the motherboard, then connect to your new PCI video card.

It does work, I had to do this for a friend who has a 2400

I guess this all has to do w/ what MOBO you have. I tried everything I could to disable the onboard AGP and there it didn't not work. I even followed the directions on the dell tech website and still nothing.
