Wireless Networking issues

I recently purchased the Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Notebook Kit (MN-820)

The directions in the box are great, espically for a n00b like myself. I set up the unit just as they recommended, gave the router a name, established a WEP key, and everything worked just as I thought it would.

Fast forward about 2 days. All of a sudden, I can't find the "base station" anymore. I hook in my ethernet cable straight to the hub, and I'm surfing once again -- but that problem with the card not working properly.

I called Microsoft support -- and after 70 minutes, we reset the router and once again established the WEP key. Everything seems cool -- I'm surfing on the wireless once again. (I'll refrain from comments about their support since they were able to help me out)

Fast forward about 24 hours -- once again, my wireless card cannot find the base station. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Could it be that I need to change channels??

Help!

(For the record, I did do this)

Do you turn the PC off at night? I'm guessing some kind of synchronization error where you will need to reboot the PC and/or the base station.

I'd try a different channel.

Could be intrference from microwave or cordless phones. What about other wifi devices? Can you pick up other people's wifi networks?
