Norton Antivirus subscription questions

A few questions:

1) I had to reinstall everything from scratch. Any way that you know of to re-do my Norton Antivirus without having to pay the subscription again (since it still was good for a few months)?

2) Getting a desktop in January. Any way to use the same subscription on both that and my current laptop?

When I reformatted my hard drive a couple of months ago, I reloaded Norton Systemworks 2003. My year-long subscription started all over again, so instead of expiring in March '04 it will expire in October '04. As long as you load it from the original disk, I'm betting that yours will also renew.

Unfortunately, it was included in the OEM package - and for whatever reason, when I re-installed it wasn't there.

Guess I should buy the full retail version sometime anyway.

Or buy the OEM version again.

I had picked up the Norton Systemworks Professional 2003, which included a year's worth of live updates, last spring. The price is now $25 plus ~ $5 shipping:

Or, you can pick up just the Norton Antivirus 2003 for $19 plus shipping:

Both are OEM, you'll just receive the disk in a sleeve, nothing else (except for the invoice). On the Norton Systemworks 2003, there is no registration number. I assume that's the case with the antivirus also.

Just on first glance, how does that article relate at all?

It's saying that there are better anti-virus companies than Norton:

Kaspersky 3.5, and NOD32 (may be the same company).

Actually they are competing brands ...
