IPOD Help Needed

I've got a 30G & use Musicmatch to sync. When I try to sync I get a server busy error & it gives me the option to switch or retry, neither of which do anything. I also seem to be getting a blue screen driver SQRL error message sometimes when I try to sync too. I have relatively new 3.0 Ghz Dell running XP. Any help would be much appreciated.

Musicmatch is the worst program ever. At least, that was my experience with it. When I got my iPod a couple weeks ago, I tried to use it for about 2 days before I got fed up with it.

My advice: switch to iTunes. It may not fix the problem you're having, but when you do get that problem fixed, you'll be much happier.

Also, I would recommend checking the iPod discussion pages to see if someone there can help you with your problem.

And finally, you might try leaving the iPod plugged into your computer and restarting/turning on the computer with the iPod already connected. That's the only way I can get my computer to sync with my iPod and I'm running XP as well.

If you have musicmatch and iTunes installed, musicmatch WON'T work correctly. I like iTunes and EphPod better by far!

Thanks for the help I reinstalled the drivers for my firewire card & switched to EphPod & that seems to have cleared it up. Man EphPod is 1000 times better than MM. Would I Tunes be of any use to me if I have no intentions of paying $.99 to download songs?

Also what is everyone using for Tagging their MP3s I've been using Tag & Rename but I'm not sure I want to pay the $30 if there is something better out there.

iTunes and the iPod work hand-in-hand. It's great. iTunes is a wonderful music library, even if you don't use the music service.

Try the forums at http://ipodlounge.com/forums/ It's a great place to fix all things that revolve around an iPod. I've found that Apples pages can really be little help when you're in a jam.

Good luck!
