2 quick wireless internet questions
I just got a router with a wireless antenna and a card for my laptop and am enjoying it. Just have 2 questions...
1. My roommate is planning on getting a wireless card for his laptop. Can 2 computers use the one router's wireless connection at one time? Will it affect speed?
2. I use zone alarm on my laptop. Do i need anything else to protect my computer or the wireless network?
Thanks

2. The wireless router should have a built-in firewall. It works a lot better than ZA, and that should be all you need. Your greatest danger is essentially you, like if you open a "bad" attachment or something.

2. You should change the SSID of the router, disable broadcasting of the SSID, enable mac address filtering, and possibly enable WEP or WPA for added security.
Also, even though the router may have a "firewall" built into it, it will only filter incoming traffic, not outgoing, so ZA might still be something you want to use.
