What is an rtdk.sys file?

My hard drive has this file on it and it is huge. And growing! This file is 2.42 gigs! I erased it once and it came back. Last time it was 4 gigs big. After I deleted it the computer seemed to run without a hiccup. Now it is back and as I said, growing. Is this some sort of virus?

I am running winows xp.

I have no idea what the file is, but just wanted to chime in and say that it doesn't exist on my system.

Found your question today, when looking for something else. Then I decided to register to help. Hope itīs not too late.

This file is related to Spylo Monitor. A software that secretly captures information about what you are doing on your machine.

Itīs not spyware but a software put intentionaly by someone with access to your machine.

Related files on Win98 are: rtdk.sys, rgl40.sys, mpdk10.sys.

Find SPCmon directory under Windows. There youīll find the program. Run it. If itīs not password protected youīll be able to see all your logs and screenshots (thatīs why your computer was hiccupping when the log file got huge).

If its password protected, run uninstall.exe located in this same directory. Reboot. Kill the files above.

You are free. Enjoy
