Ripping CDs with scratches

starting to rip some cds into mp3 format and had a question.. what if a cd has a scratch in it? does the ripping incude the scratch in the mp3 or will it just not rip

If you're ripping scratched CDs, use Exact Audio Copy, which does a good job of correcting for scratches. You can find EAC with a search, and it's free.

Definitely EAC is your best bet. One warning, do not except it to rip very fast when the disc is bad condition.

If that still doesn't work try some of the resufacing tricks and then try eac again.

EAC is the best, it may take forever, but it has ripped cds I haven't been able to listen to in years due to scratches.
