Download Accelerator won't download

Download Accelerator won't download

The window pops up, click download now, then it instantly says Abort/retry...after a couple retries, error message.

Is that always happen on all sites? What are the error message?

"Connection to site failed: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

It instantly goes to 'retry/abort', and after 4-5 retries, I get the message.

I'm sure it's a setting somewhere, but I never had to adjust any settings before. I had to re-install this after my PC fire/re-format.

Weird. That happens sometimes when my ISP is acting up (I'm on Dial up)

What other solution have you tried? (eg. try another download manager, connect through different connection, etc)

Just to eliminate some variables... have you disabled any anti-virus and/or pop-up blockers that you may be using? Norton Anti-virus used to cause a problem with my download accelerator (which sort of defeated the purpose of protection) and ended up using McAfee instead.
