Building New PC, Need Help!!!

Hello All, I have build my PCs before, but I never did any of the MoBo work, I had a friend install the MoBo and the CPU. First off, I will be doing this myself this time. My question is, how hard is the CPU/Heatsink connection to do, and second is how about the Bios setting? The BIOS setting can automattically detect yoru speed and all that soetimes right, depending on the MoBo? Well then, I need advice on which Mobo to get for an AMD Athlon XP 2400+. I would like the easiest to do, and one wiht some good features. I currently have a Abit KG7-Raid Mobo witha Athlon XP 1700+. I have had some problems with mine so time to get a new one. I just need some advice to how hard the CPU and Heatsink are to do, and then the jumpers/BIOS setting and a good Mobo please? Thank you very much.

CPU - Heatsink is very easy.

Jumpers / BIOS - I've only dealth with boards where this is all done automatically, I think most of them are that way now, so you shouldn't have to worry about setting jumpers for CPU. But in case you do, it's really easy.

Can't help you with a mobo. Sorry.

Just get a jumperless Mobo, and everything should be very easy!

Is this something that is stated on the description of the Mobo, like on the Box or what not?

I have used Abit motherboards in the past and have been very happy. They were the first with jumperless technology. I think they are usually the highest rated too.

And I get my stuff at www.mwave.com

Thanks for the site. I scored my motherboard and AMD Athlon 2400+ for like 146.
